Phil McCann, Brent, and I arrived at our first spot around 6:30 AM. We immediately started catching trout, but most were undersized. Around 8:30 we had to run for cover because of some very severe thunderstorms that moved in on us. We never really had much time to fish, but managed to scrape up 9 trout to 20 inches and a few sand trout. We caught somewhere around 30 throwback trout as well. All of our fish were caught drifting in 7.5 to 9 feet of water on dark colored soft plastics.

I can't wait until the weather stabilizes. The fish are there, but we've got to be able to stay on them without having to run for cover.
