Had Eric Dale with Johnson Fence Company and Brandon with David Weekly Homes today. We drifted W. Galveston Bay throwing Corkies, Catch 2000's, and Assassins. The wind was NW @ 12 mph early then went almost dead calm around 11 AM. The water was still only about 47 degrees. At our first stop, each drift yielded 2 or 3 trout. The bite was very subtle due to the lack of tide movement. As a result, we lost a few fish at the boat. We hit several other areas with not much to show for our efforts. The lack of tide movement played a major role today. We ended the day with 14 trout to 25 inches (which was released) and one 28" redfish. All the action was in 2.5 to 4 feet over mud and shell. All but two of the trout were caught on Corkies using a very slow retrieve.
